Innovative Construction at High Altitude

DVA has received two assignments from two different clients, which have allowed the entire project to be supported, from the execution phase to completion. Initially, DVA was engaged by Paterlini Costruzioni to implement innovative procedures and technologies, in order to ensure the control of time and resources in a sector like hospitality, which cannot afford delays or extra costs.
While the authorisation process could be considered complete, this was not the case for the in-depth analysis of construction issues and the coordination between disciplines. Lefay Resorts & SPA therefore entered into an agreement with DVA for drafting the working drawings through the BIM process, also to align all operators and obtain the ClimaHotel certification from the CasaClima agency.
Given the 24-month duration of the construction site, DVA's involvement gradually intensified, with a weekly on-site presence during the last 18 months, during which the use of BIM on site was gradually implemented through specific display systems.
These tools were used not only by the designers but also by the construction supervision team, the artistic direction, the client, and the company operators.
The use of digital models allowed for resolving in advance over 800 project clashes among the various disciplines: it is estimated to have resulted in a 50% saving in the time required for the preparation of monthly documents for monitoring the progress of the work.
