DVArea establish itself as a “benefit company”, with a sustainable model that embraces environmental issues.
Being a benefit corporation means integrating profit with a concrete commitment to sustainability and the common good. DVArea aims to lead the change in the understanding of corporate social responsibility, inspiring trust, innovation, and long-term responsibility.

Being a Benefit Corporation
DVArea is the first design services company established as a non-profit organisation focused on the well-being of people and the environment. This decision stems from a commitment to equal emphasis on economic value and social and environmental benefit in business management, guided by a systemic and long-term vision. Our commitment goes beyond integrated planning by implementing concrete and innovative solutions that have a positive impact on the local community and the environment in line with ESG criteria.
DVArea is a member of Assobenefit, the national association for non-profit companies, with the aim of actively contributing to the dissemination of a business model centred on sustainability and shared value creation.
The values
that unite us
We believe that architecture and design should serve to improve the quality of life and have a positive and lasting impact on the communities and areas in which we operate.
We live on a fragile planet — an ecosystem where even the smallest change can disrupt the fundamental balance and have unpredictable consequences.
DVArea recognises that the role of architects and technical professionals is crucial in shaping a sustainable future and has decided to meet the challenges of the new millennium by adopting the 17 Sustainable Development Goals as a fundamental reference for all its activities.
The values that guide our commitment were developed in a participatory process during a workshop attended by the entire DVArea team. This open and collaborative exchange made it possible to gather insights, sensitivities and proposals that were later structured and consolidated by the committee.
A process that strengthens our sense of internal cohesion and collective responsibility — the basis for everything we do.

Initiatives
Every project we undertake is an act of responsibility — a delicate balance between creativity, innovation and care for people and the environment.
A few examples clearly show how our values take shape through concrete and consistent action.
Dutùr Kaos
This Christmas, we chose to support Dutùr Kaos with a donation. Since 2002, this volunteer association has brought joy, colour, balloons, soap bubbles, and a touch of magic to children hospitalised in the paediatric wards of Brescia and Manerbio. Their philosophy is simple yet powerful: a happy child heals better.
By supporting them, we also hope to offer a moment of lightness to those who need it most.
La borsa delle donne
Among DVArea’s commitments for 2025 is the support of cultural and social projects that promote fundamental values such as respect, inclusion, and gender equality. In this context, we have chosen to purchase and distribute copies of the book “La borsa delle donne” by Adriano Baffelli, a significant work that collects interviews and testimonies from women in Brescia and Bergamo who have distinguished themselves in various professional and social fields. The initiative also has a strong charitable dimension: part of the proceeds is donated to the Casa delle Donne in Brescia to support the activities of the Anti-Violence Centre, reinforcing the project’s tangible social impact.
Race for the Cure
DVArea was a sponsor of the 19th edition of the Race for the Cure in Brescia 2025, Italy’s leading event in the fight against breast cancer, promoted by the Susan G. Komen Italia association. On this occasion, we organised the event “When Space Becomes Care”, a roundtable focused on dialogue between architecture, environmental psychology, and medicine, exploring how to design healthcare spaces that promote well-being. Our participation is the natural continuation of a collaboration that began at Christmas 2024, when we chose to support Komen Italia by giving our employees charity panettone.
Brescia Pride
Inclusion, diversity, and the freedom to be yourself are not just words—they are part of our identity. Participating in Pride means saying yes to equality, yes to respect, and yes to a world where everyone is free to express themselves and feel welcomed.
For the occasion, we create a custom T-shirt each year for participants, with a design that itself speaks of inclusion and diversity.
SOU Brescia: the architecture school for children by Ambiente Parco
At DVArea, we believe it is important to promote a sense of design. For this reason, we have been supporting this project since 2023 and participating as instructors. SOU is a unique extracurricular programme for children aged 7 to 12 that aims to stimulate creativity, imagination and ingenuity and is led by architects, designers, engineers, university lecturers and art historians.
Progetto Co-Crea, Cortili creativi
DVArea took part in the initiative promoted by True Quality aimed at renewing two public housing complexes in Via Morosini in Brescia through street art and the involvement of residents. In addition to supporting the intervention, DVArea will lead a project involving students from LABA Brescia and the Brescia School of Architecture to redesign the communal areas of the buildings.
Emergency charity Easter eggs
In a time marked by conflicts and tensions in many parts of the world, we chose to support those who provide care each day to victims of war. In 2025, our Easter wishes were accompanied by Emergency’s charity Easter eggs, a symbol of hope and tangible commitment carrying the message “Reject war.” Through this gesture, we reaffirm our desire for a more just and humane future for all.

Cascina Ri-Nascita
DVArea actively supports the Cascina Ri-Nascita project launched by SVS Donna Aiuta Donna Onlus, a social cooperative that protects and supports people who have experienced violence. Together with Alessandra Kustermann, the president of the cooperative, DVArea, in collaboration with SVS Donna Aiuta Donna Onlus and CADMI, has initiated a socially significant project aimed at creating a safe haven for women coming from violent situations.
La Corsa Rosa, Brescia
For several years, DVArea has supported La Corsa Rosa in Brescia — a symbolic and widespread event that promotes awareness and prevention of women’s health issues. The active involvement of our team strengthens our bond with the region and reflects our shared values of inclusion, well-being and solidarity. It is a commitment that goes beyond simple sponsorship and helps to make the event a real moment of commitment and awareness-raising.
“Gli artisti e la piazza a 50 anni dalla strage” AAB’s commitment to 28 May
On the occasion of the exhibition “Gli artisti e la Piazza a 50 anni dalla strage” AAB’s commitment to 28 May, DVArea curated the exhibition set-up at the headquarters of the Associazione Artisti Bresciani for the show organised in collaboration with the Casa della Memoria to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the bombing of Piazza Loggia in Brescia.
“Presente inquieto. Contemporary artists from Bergamo and Brescia”
As part of Bergamo Brescia Italian Capital of Culture 2023, DVArea curated the exhibition design for a show featuring works by living artists from Brescia and Bergamo. The initiative was supported by the Associazione Artisti Bresciani and the Scuola di Bergamo – Cultural Association of Alumni and Supporters of the Accademia Carrara di Belle Arti.
Progettiamo la città del futuro. DVArea for BGBS 2023
As part of Bergamo Brescia Italian Capital of Culture 2023, DVArea promoted a series of events entitled “Progettiamo la città del futuro” which offered a new perspective on innovation and sustainability. The initiative highlighted the potential of urban regeneration, environmental protection and digital transformation. It comprised five free events open to all citizens and included lectures, city walks, conferences, virtual experiences and workshops for students aged 7 to 24.
A Map for Bergamo Brescia Capital of Culture 2023
To celebrate the 2023 Bergamo Brescia Capital of Culture, DVArea has published an alternative map of Brescia, created with contributions from all the studio experts. The map is a valuable tool for residents and visitors. It is a collection of successful entrepreneurial, cultural and urban stories projected into the future, with a strong focus on people, environment and quality of life.
