DVArea integrates ESG criteria into its planning methodology and places data analysis and people’s needs at the centre of its process.

Integrated and sustainable design

We work to create buildings and spaces that reduce environmental impact, improve quality of life and create long-term value. Our approach is based on data, digital tools and an integrated vision that brings people, environment and technology together.

Materials and resources

We select environmentally friendly, durable, recyclable and certified materials, prioritising local supply chains and responsible production processes. Each choice is evaluated from a life cycle perspective to minimise waste and support the circular economy.

Energy and performance

We optimise the energy performance of buildings through passive strategies, efficient systems and renewable energy sources. From the early design stages, we use energy simulation tools to predict consumption, emissions and thermal comfort.

Comfort and well-being

We design spaces that put people at the centre, integrating innovative approaches such as evidence-based design, universal design, biophilic and regenerative design, as well as in-depth analysis of users, environments and organisational dynamics.

Measurement and impact

Each project includes a system for monitoring and evaluating its impact. We use quantitative and qualitative indicators and international benchmarks (such as LCA, LEED, CAM, etc.) to ensure transparency and continuous improvement.

LCA and LCC

LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) and LCC (Life Cycle Costing) assess the environmental impact and total cost of a building throughout its life cycle. Their integration enables more informed planning decisions that are both environmentally and economically sustainable.

Research and development

We invest in innovation to develop sustainable processes, products and materials, advanced technological solutions and digital models for more efficient, resilient and accessible buildings. We combine science and sustainability to shape the future of the industry.

Approach to health and well-being

Our approach, which synergistically integrates all disciplines within DVArea, is based on ESG principles with the aim of creating lasting, shared value for the built environment, communities and individuals.

The integration of comfort, health, environment, behaviour and social value allows us to look at the complexity of sustainable building through an ethical and forward-looking lens.
Applying these principles to the construction value chain is not only a response to pressing environmental and social challenges, but also improves the overall quality of life and living.

We divide our goals into six strategic areas, each linked to measurable actions throughout the life cycle of a building and in the built environment.

Certifications and Assessments

DVArea plans according to the most advanced sustainability standards and always pays attention to environmental quality and energy efficiency. DVArea is a member of GBC Italia and supports its customers in obtaining international certifications (LEED, WELL, BREEAM and others) that certify the sustainability, efficiency and focus on the well-being of buildings and infrastructures.

Our consultancy services include Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Life Cycle Costing (LCC), which provide solutions to optimise resource consumption and reduce environmental impact.
In addition, we monitor and calculate carbon footprints and support the selection of certified materials through Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), which provide transparent data on the environmental impact of each product and material— – promoting more responsible and sustainable choices.
