On-Site BIM Unit for Urban Regeneration
ChorusLife, Bergamo
ChorusLife is an ambitious real estate project in Bergamo, designed by JDP Architects and conceived by the industrialist Domenico Bosatelli. The initiative involved the redevelopment of a former industrial area, combining architecture with advanced digital technologies. DVA was involved by Costim, an industrial holding in the real estate sector, for the construction design, the preparation of as-built drawings and for assistance to the main contractor through digital models.
Given the complexity of the construction site, an on-site BIM Unit was established, composed of more than twenty professionals working directly in the field, managing the construction process and as-built drawings through an advanced digital ecosystem of Virtual Design & Construction (VDC).
The team made use of information management tools, platforms for model authoring, issue tracking, and time and cost control, providing decision-making support to the construction supervision team and the contractor.
The team also included structural experts, who provided constant assistance to optimise and verify the construction process, addressing the needs of the construction site. The presence of qualified personnel allowed for the planning and monitoring of the construction phases in real-time, updating the BIM model to ensure continuous verification of subsequent work.
