Construction Supervision 4.0 at Milano City Village

Milano City Village, Milan

For the real estate development project on the former Telecom site in Milan, AbitareIn Spa has chosen DVA and smart construction technology to optimize processes and information flows. On the new construction site at Via Tacito 14, part of a redevelopment of the former Telecom area that will host two residential buildings — City Plaza and City Garden — AbitareIn Spa has selected DVA to implement a work method that combines architecture and digital innovation. This Construction 4.0 approach enhances the quality of the final product and optimizes construction timelines, while promoting sustainability and reducing waste.

The DVA team — composed of more than ten professionals including construction supervisor, operations directors, site managers, design coordinators, BIM manager and BIM coordinator — was tasked with overseeing general and specialized construction supervision across all disciplines involved, including all preparatory activities. These began with the verification of the executive project, already developed by the contractor’s technical office.

All processes are managed and coordinated using digital models previously developed by the contractor and validated in compliance with current regulations by the BIM Manager. A Common Data Environment (CDE) has also been implemented to collect, classify, and share all project information in an organized manner, ensuring that every stakeholder in the process can access the data at any time.

“The significant technological implementation we’ve invested in over the years is becoming increasingly tangible, thanks in part to the synergy with our partner DVA, who has been assigned the role of general construction supervisor for Milano City Village. Our strategic collaboration with DVA — a firm that effectively speaks our same language when it comes to digitalizing processes — allows the Milano City Village development to adopt new methodologies for information exchange, validation, and technical control. The goal is to ensure AbitareIn customers receive a higher level of quality in their homes. Smart construction technology in residential real estate has never been this advanced.”
