Inspire Uptown, Milan
EuroMilano acquired the property of Cascina Merlata, which, with the advent of Expo 2015, has become a strategic area for the future of the city of Milan. In this context, “Inspire UpTown” is emerging as a residential complex of 428 housing units composed of five buildings: two towers with 20 and 24 floors, two lines with 13 and one with 11 floors respectively, resting on a central rooftop garden of 3,805 m², which will host the amenities for the residents.
Starting from the concept by MAB Arquitectura, the companies of the DVArea group managed the definitive design and working drawings. In particular, DVA – together with DVS for structures and DVMEP for systems – was responsible for the general project coordination, BIM management, and architectural design, assisting the client in the configuration of the project.
Crucial was the activity of coordinating the various disciplines involved: architecture, structures, systems, acoustics, and fire safety, with the aim of optimising the apartments in accordance with urban planning constraints. For this reason, for each building, multiple configuration options were planned, in order to provide a wide range of alternatives by the end of the final design phase, anticipating the client's needs for marketing.
In the first months of 2024, the building permit was issued by the Municipality of Milan, and the working drawings phase was completed. DVArea continues to offer its support by being involved in construction supervision for a complex construction site, lasting approximately 36 months, with a project cost exceeding 100 million euros.
