A New Language for the Industry

Faster headquarter, Rivolta d’Adda (CR)

Faster, a leading international company in the hydraulics industry, has launched an extensive project to renovate and expand its Italian production headquarters, in collaboration with Felmar, the owner of the site. The intervention, in which DVArea was involved from the concept phase, was conceived with the aim of rethinking the management and production spaces to make them more functional and welcoming, with attention to people’s daily well-being.

In the first phase, which was completed in September 2025, two key areas for company life were created: the new staff restaurant and the fitness room. Designed as a large open space, the restaurant becomes the centre of conviviality and social interaction, an environment that opens up to the outside thanks to perforated metal cladding reminiscent of the industrial context, while also serving as a transitional and breathing space. The fitness room, on the other hand, was designed as an essential complement to the working day to promote balance, health and sociability.

The entire renovation process was guided by an integrated approach between architecture, structures, systems, acoustics and well-being.

A design language was proposed for the new building that blends into the surrounding landscape and is in continuity with the stylistic features of the neighbouring buildings. The large yellow staircase, which is located outside the metal skin and has become an element of the company's brand identity, plays a central role. It is not just a vertical connection, but a real social infrastructure: its generous, scenic dimension transforms it into a terrace and meeting point, a symbol of the openness and energy that characterise Faster’s culture.

DVArea also provided construction supervision for these works, using digital tools to ensure compliance with construction times and costs while maintaining the quality of the built environment.

The masterplan for the refurbishment also includes the construction of a new building that will house twenty offices and a conference room at the entrance to the production area. This measure, which DVArea has also been commissioned to undertake, will complete the transformation of the site and consolidate Faster’s vision of a more people-centred industry.

A complex project that will serve as a model for industrial renewal, capable of combining functionality, well-being and innovation and offering the company's employees a truly people-centred environment.

“DVArea was able to interpret Faster’s needs with great sensitivity, highlighting the strategic importance of the project for our organization. The intervention does not merely meet functional requirements: it has become an iconic element, capable of representing our commitment to employee well-being and environmental care. An investment that, over time, will prove to be a real added value for Faster.”
