A restaurant project for the ChorusLife Smart District

Ristopub ChorusLife, Bergamo

The indoor area on the ground floor accommodates approximately 400 seats, with a maximum capacity of 900 guests plus 70 service staff. The mezzanine level provides up to 200 seats, while the outdoor area offers an additional 230. An ambitious restaurant project, developed across almost 6,000 m² of space, encompassing serving, production and service areas. Situated within a multifunctional arena with over 5,000 seats, yet designed to operate independently even in the absence of events, thanks to its outlook over the squares of the ChorusLife Smart District in Bergamo. The project was commissioned by the Bosatelli Family and designed by architect Joseph di Pasquale.
DVA, in collaboration with A3Architetti and AFA Arredamenti, developed the interior fit-out project, from concept to execution, to create a flexible and contemporary venue which, thanks to its spacious and varied areas across multiple levels, welcomes guests from breakfast through to after dinner. The design is refined yet fresh, strongly characterised by exposed concrete arches, echoed in the soft lines of the sofas and the bar counter. The visible systems provide a deliberate contrast to the elegance of the furnishings, which feature a petrol blue accent paired with neutral-toned finishes. An extremely complex and meticulous design and execution process, carried out collaboratively to achieve the best possible result while meeting tight deadlines and budget constraints. A challenge successfully met by the entire team: by us as designers, by the project management group, by the companies involved, and, of course, by the client.

“Designing the spaces of the Ristopub within ChorusLife meant engaging with a complex and stimulating context, where every architectural and interior design decision needed to dialogue with the identity of the entire project. Our objective was to create a place capable of welcoming, adapting, and offering diverse experiences, always maintaining a balance between functionality, atmosphere, and distinctiveness.”
