Building Digitally for the Knowledge of Tomorrow
H-Campus, Roncade (Tv)
H-Campus is the largest European hub for innovation and training, located on the Ca’ Tron estate in Roncade, near the Venice lagoon. It spans 51 hectares and hosts startups, entrepreneurs, students, and professionals, offering a wide range of training programmes.
The project was designed by Zanon Associati, while the library and conference hall were designed by Richard Rogers, a pioneer of high tech architecture.
Carron SpA, the general contractor for the project, has tasked DVA with preparing the BIM model and managing the construction design of the entire complex, in addition to coordination and information management.
The digitalisation of data and the adoption of the BIM methodology have facilitated integrated design, enabling better management of project timelines, minimising environmental impact, and optimising design choices.
Fundamental was the support to the company in resolving design clashes during the construction design phase, avoiding issues that could have slowed down the construction, while ensuring adherence to the schedule despite the Covid-19 pandemic. During the construction site shutdown due to the lockdown, digital models were used to bring forward checks and simulations aimed at improving resource organisation when the construction activities resumed, allowing the work to be completed in less than a year.
Upon completion of the work, DVA continued to support the company in drafting the as-built model for the building's lifecycle management.

“Our goal in this project, characterized by sustainability, accessibility, and services, was to develop a shared and coordinated construction design, optimize control, and deliver to the client a solid foundation for the lifecycle management phase.”
