
Smart construction sites for the projects of the new Italian universities

The 01building portal explores digital construction sites and school building projects, using two developments managed by DVA during the construction phase as a case study.
Two university building and urban regeneration projects united by innovative choices and the use of Industry 4.0 technologies.
The new Bocconi University campus, inaugurated in 2019 in Milan and designed by the Japanese practice Sanaa: a complex project extending over 35,000 m² on the site of the former Centrale del Latte di Milano.
The restoration of the former diocesan seminary in Mompiano, repurposed to become the second campus of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, Brescia.
DVA, appointed by the general contractors Percassi and Deldossi, was able to anticipate potential issues and optimise work processes through the use of a BIM model and digital mock-ups, ensuring both projects stayed on schedule.
