Inauguration of the Cascina Ri-Nascita construction site

In the presence of guest of honour Ornella Vanoni and Pierfrancesco Maran, the Housing Councillor of Milan City Council, work officially commenced on 20 December for Cascina Ri-Nascita.

Based on the concept for the historic redevelopment and adaptive reuse of the complex by CRA (Carlo Ratti Associati) and Italo Rota, DVA – together with DVMEP, DVS, ODUElab, and Dieci Decibel – developed the integrated design and will oversee construction supervision, combining design sensitivity with technical expertise. A project of significant social value, created to provide a safe space for women escaping violence, supported by the SVS Donna Aiuta Donna non-profit network and CADMI – the Milan-based shelter for women survivors of abuse.
