A concrete example of how a digital approach and a strong partnership between designers and contractor can enhance the construction sector, making it more efficient and innovative. Through an integrated approach, DVArea succeeded in transforming the challenge of the Bosconavigli project into an opportunity for growth and innovation, establishing itself as a strategic partner to the contractor SMV in the digital development of the construction sector.
When SMV was awarded the contract for the project designed by Stefano Boeri, the agreement stipulated the use of BIM not only for the development of the construction design but also for site management and the preparation of the as-built documentation. Cristoforo Giorgi, the company’s Managing Director, demonstrated vision and foresight by not merely seeking a service provider, but by choosing to invest in the digital implementation of his company’s organisational structure. DVArea worked on two parallel fronts: on the one hand, Bimfactory supported the company in its digital transition through a thorough audit phase, aimed at assessing the level of digital literacy and proposing a targeted implementation plan. On the other hand, DVA, together with DVMEP and DVS, analysed the contractual scope of work to identify all areas requiring intervention, ensuring a high-quality service for the client and end users. DVArea’s extensive experience in construction design enables it to be a reliable partner throughout the construction process, supporting the contractor in selecting suppliers and the most suitable technological solutions, as well as providing ongoing assistance in all site activities. DVArea’s work will conclude with the preparation of BIM LOD F models and the final as-built documentation for the architecture, structures and systems disciplines, delivering a complete digital model of the building, along with the preparation of the documentation required for the final municipal planning amendment.
